Recent updates in terms of toy safety have led the Food Packaging Materials Operating Sector, already able to carry out tests in compliance with harmonised European standards, to develop a particular sensitivity for the management of issues related to the safety of toys and gadgets, not only in compliance with Toys regulations, but also in compliance with the Consumer Goods Code.
The user for whom there is a growing need for a guarantee of safety is undoubtedly the child. In line with this need, the Food Packaging Materials Operating Sector has developed the main methods for determining the safety, mechanical and chemical requirements of childcare devices. Together with the food suitability requirements of the materials used, the analytical packages are able to provide global product compliance.
Fully assembled bicycles or specific components, the CSI laboratories boast state-of-the-art equipment for carrying out all types of tests, also for the purposes of compliance with the 2001/95/CE Directive "Product safety - general rules", which is mandatory for placing safe products on the market.

For the latter, CSI is able to manage the complete procedure to obtain compliance with EN 15194, both for the electrical parts including EMC and for the mechanical safety part EN 14764 / ISO 4210. CSI also supports the customer in drafting the technical file.
