Management Systems Certification: advantages and benefits

If the introduction of a management system allows to rationalize and optimize the management and production processes, the certification allows to demonstrate, through the certification of an officially recognized independent body, that the company meets the requirements of the reference standard and is able to constantly ensure the declared quality level for its products / services.

The certification is therefore a guarantee of the constant commitment made by the company to achieve the specific objectives of the scheme adopted and the search for mutual satisfaction in relations with customers and suppliers.

CSI member of the international network IQNet

CISQ is the only Italian member of IQNet, the largest international network of certification bodies, which operates in the field of management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001, etc.). This allows all companies that achieve the CSI certification with ICILA brand to also obtain the IQNet certificate, international certification passport, and the IQNet brand.

IQNet is the largest worldwide network of certification bodies operating in the field of certification of management systems for quality, environment, safety and social responsibility. Founded in 1990, it currently has 33 certification bodies operating in more than 150 countries with more than 350,000 certificates issued around the world.

The data of the certified companies that also obtain the IQNet certificate, are published in a single database which represents the largest worldwide database of certified companies.

 Before starting the certification procedure it is often useful to carry out a Preliminary Evaluation Visit of the management system, which can allow to identify the size and nature of the activities to prepare for the evaluation and the type of experience required from the evaluation team. In order to start the certification process and to acquire information on company processes useful for planning subsequent verification activities, the application form and management system documentation (manual and, if necessary, procedures) must be sent. The assessment includes an in-depth verification at the organisation of the system's compliance with the requirements of the reference standard by an assessment team qualified in the specific technology sector. At the end of the assessment, the group will present the results to the management; subsequently, if the results of the visit include non-conformities or observations, a corrective action plan will be requested in order to meet the requirements for the issue of the conformity certificate. Once all the non-conformities have been overcome, certification is granted, the organisation will be included in the list of certified companies and the relevant certificate will be issued. The issue of the certificate will be followed by surveillance visits to verify that compliance is being maintained. The frequency of surveillance visits and laboratory tests, if any, is fixed by the special rules applicable. The certification shall have the validity defined in the specific special rules, on expiry the contract shall be deemed to be tacitly renewed unless terminated by one of the two contracting parties 4 (four) months before the expiry date.
