Toys Compliance Test and Verification (EN 71)

The importance of the toy safety issue has led the Food Packaging Materials Operating Sector, already able to carry out tests in compliance with harmonized European regulations, to develop a particular sensitivity for the management of problems connected with the safety of toys and of gadgets, not only in compliance with Toys regulations, but also in compliance with the consumer goods code.

The laboratory evaluates the safety of your products according to the requirements of harmonized standards by performing:

  • Physical-mechanical tests;;
  • Chemical tests;
  • Flammability tests;
  • Electrical safety tests.

The manufacturer or importer of toys, in addition to carrying out tests in accordance with harmonized product standards, must perform a risk analysis for safety purposes before being able to affix the CE marking on products. CSI, as a notified Certification Body, is able, when applicable, to issue EC type examination certificates.
