The sustainable construction market does not only concern the designer or interior design, but above all the manufacturer of building materials.
Wooden floors, doors, windows, etc. they will be taken into consideration according to the characteristics of sustainability, the environmental certifications, the content of recycled material, able to support the final score to be assigned to the building allowing to obtain the specific environmental credits.
The LEED® and BREEAM® certifications are issued to the building to be understood as a global construction project, which, starting from the choices of designers and companies, enhances sustainable materials and components.
Every company, which has an interest in being competitive in a market in which environmental certifications and sustainability characteristics such as FSC, PEFC, LCA, EPD and others, will be increasingly present, will have to ask itself the problem of mapping its products, to consolidate and to increase the added value on the market, and above all to approach a production system that is necessarily increasingly attentive to the problems of sustainability and energy saving.
CSI in collaboration with Greenwich Srl offers a technical assistance service aimed at demonstrating that the single product complies with one or more of the requirements of LEED® and BREEAM® credits or equivalent standards. After an accurate analysis of the documentation of the product characteristics, CSI will produce a document with the identification of the credits to which the product being mapped can compete, together with a "road map" to direct the manufacturer to the laboratory tests to be performed for verify compliance or non-compliance with the requirements imposed by the various credits.
