Upholstery and Furnishing Materials - Reaction to Fire

In Italy, to sell in the sectors of public entertainment, hotels, public offices, hospitals, airports, fairs, retirement homes, shopping centers, it is mandatory that the furniture materials are approved according to the Decrees of the Ministry of Domestic Affairs relating to the reaction classification on fire.

CSI is a laboratory authorized by the Ministry of Domestic Affairs for fire reaction tests able to offer global assistance to its customers following them from the preparation of the ministerial documentation and the sampling required for the reaction to fire tests, to the presentation of the procedural request to the Ministry of Domestic Affairs for obtaining the approval deed, and supporting them for all clarifications and any additions that the Ministry may request, until the approval is issued. All this without any additional cost.

CSI is authorized by the Department of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Home Furnishings and Thermal Insulation of the State of California for the issue of certification according to the Technical Bulletin relating to the fireproofing of upholstered furniture, also mandatory for domestic use; it is also recognized and equipped to perform tests according to the standards, regulations or laws of other countries, including DIN 4102-1; NFPA 260; NF P 92-507, British Standard and the European standard EN 13501-1.
